When considering a holiday, most of us think of white sand beaches and scorching sun. It makes sense, right? You want to relax while you’re away. Even so, there are many amazing countries you miss out on when you think that way. England, for example, may not have the best weather, but it’s a country well worth your time. Well known for its historical relevance and must-see sights, there’s plenty here to keep you busy. If you’re not tempted, this list should give you an idea of a few things England has to offer!
LAID BACK ATTITUDE
The first thing worth mentioning is the laid back attitude of England. There’s something very gentle about the country. Not to mention that most people are polite! You want to relax while you’re away, and a trip here could show you that you don’t need scorching temperatures to do that. The atmosphere will sweep you up, and you’ll feel relaxed in no time. England may be a small island, but it has plenty of must-see attractions to visit during your stay. You’ll want to head to London to get the most of your time away. Here, you’ll find iconic sites like Buckingham Palace. Do you want to get a taste of royal life? Here’s your chance! You could also get to grips with the brutal history of London Tower. And, don’t forget to pay a visit to monuments such as Big Ben and The London Eye. If you’re after a cultured experience, you could even pay a visit to the Natural History Museum on your travels. Who doesn’t like the chance to learn while they’re away? If London doesn’t sound like your idea of fun, there are plenty of other worthwhile places to visit. Take a trip to the Georgian town of Bath, where you’ll see some stunning Georgian sites, including The Roman Baths! Most English towns have their gems. Research to see which most appeals!
No list of reasons to visit England would be complete without mentioning the stunning countryside. Have you always dreamt of roaming those rolling hills you see in films? Do you imagine yourself on the tempestuous heaths of the Bronte sisters? A trip to England will give you the chance. You’ll get the chance to stay in grand country hotels, like The Wood Norton. From there, you’ll be able to live the English country life. Make sure you take plenty of time to explore the beautiful scenery all around you!

It’s also worth mentioning food. England, and London in particular, is home to many fabulous chefs of its own. With traditional dishes like roast dinners and fish and chips, you’re in for a culinary feast! Not to mention that England is fantastic at offering multi-cultural options. From Thai to American diner, you’re sure to find it all. So don’t worry if you don’t think the English pallet will suit you. There’s sure to be something more to your tastes!
