With Summer fast approaching, it’s that time of the year when we all re-commit to the gym. In search of new and challenging exercises to get in shape, Blix have recently visited PHIIT London – a super sleek Pilates & HIIT studio in the heart of Fulham.

Launched in January 2016 by 2 friends & qualified personal trainers – Lindsay and Aleksa, PHIIT is a one-stop destination for the full body workout bringing together the technique and body awareness of Pilates and HIIT training all under one roof. Lindsay specialises in high intensity internal training, whilst Aleksa brings pilates, strength training and cardio to a studio environment. 


We’ve rolled up for 10am Hybrid Full Body class on a chilly Saturday morning. Lindsay welcomed us into the studio and introduced us to MOTRs (movement on the roller pictured below) – the piece of kit we would be using for most of PHIIT’s Hybrid class.



PHIIT HYBRID FULL BODY class is 50 minutes-worth of intensive pilates & resistance training, with a particular focus bums, tums and arms. It started with a gentle warm up of walking up and down the length of the roller. Then there were fast rounds of squats, burpees, mountain climbers. With each exercise lasting for about 8 mins with a few min rest in between, every muscle felt like it has been worked out. 

Lindsay herself is a fantastic personal trainer, pushing you beyond your limits in a fun, cheerful way. By the end of the class, we have to admit, we felt utterly exhausted but genuinely motivated.
